NLCC Chambly has been invited to assist the Legion with their annual Poppy Campaign. We have been allocated Saturday 2 Nov 19 as our day to assist. There will be 2 sessions, one in the morning from 0830 – 1200 and one in the afternoon from 1230 – 1700 (5 pm).
As with all events of this nature we are looking for Parents to volunteer to drive Cadets to their locations. The Legion can no longer provide drivers for the Cadets like they have done in the past. If you can set aside some of your time to stand with the Cadets as they sell poppies that would also be greatly appreciated.
As a Corps, let us assist the Legion with the great work they do in our community.
Also, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, the Stores officer will be at the Boathouse for uniform sizing. For those Cadets selling Poppies in the afternoon, you can go down before your shift. Morning Cadets can head there after their shift.
REMEMBRANCE PARADE – SANDY COVE ACRES
NLCC Chambly Cadets have been invited to participate in the Sandy Cove Acres Remembrance Day Parade and Service on Sunday 03 November 2019.
We will also be participating in the Barrie Remembrance Day Parade. See attached info here.
We will be doing the Poinsettia Fundraiser again this year! This is so easy as a lot of our friends and colleagues purchase poinsettias for their homes anyway, and Bradford Greenhouses always delivers such beautiful plants. Order forms will be going home with Cadets starting Tuesday October 29th and due to be returned November 12th. The plants will be available for pick up on November 23rd at the Boathouse in the afternoon. Volunteers will be needed to sort and distribute the plants, so please let a branch member know if you are available to assist.
It's almost the time of year to get our teams together for Competitions. On Sunday November 17, 2019, interested Cadets will meet at 49 Ferris Lane to start practicing. Each Cadet may choose to be on Drill and one other team, but otherwise can only join one team.
